so much for becoming a legit blogger...

It's been a month and a half since my last post...oops.

Things of note:
  • finally moved in to the new house
  • no longer sitting in a camping chair watching a tv placed randomly on the floor.
  • couches, chairs and tables - oh my!
  • adorable puppy-child named Fischer (see below)
  • less than a month and the roommates will be here...hooray!
  • hoping to start half-marathon training around August 1 (and hoping to blog about it)
  • going back to work on August 3.

The last month and half has been awesome. Lots of fun nights with good friends, lazy days with Fischer, quality time at my parents house visiting family, trips to the lake/river, baseball games and plenty of sunshine. I'm so thankful to have such great friends, family and opportunities. It's a shame summer is almost over. Here's to making the most of the two weeks I've got left!

the move starts tomorrow...

instead of packing up my bedroom, bathroom and few pink kitchen items, I've spent the entire day in the living room watching abc family and sporcling (http://www.sporcle.com/). I have a feeling that tomorrow I'm really going to wish that I had done some packing...but oh well. I don't really have much stuff to pack, so hopefully it won't take too long. boring.

in other news, I have more puppy pictures! click on the photo to visit the kennel's website.
after I'm all moved in to the new house, I can start getting everything ready for cute little puppy. I should know by the end of this week or the beginning of next week which puppy is mine...finally! also, any and all name suggestions are appreciated.

I've been running 3-4 times a week and it's great. we celebrated the national day of running by running a 6 a.m. 5k and I got my best time yet. hopefully by the end of the summer I'll lower it even more.

okay, enough boredom for today...next time I post, I'll be in the new house...so get excited!

summer is finally here!

today is my first day of summer. I'm on a 10 month contract at my current job, so I don't have to work from June 1 to August 3...it's incredible. I'm more excited about summer this year than any year before. there are things I will do and things that I just want to do. we'll see how that goes...

things I will do this summer:
  • I will move into my new rent house (in 9 days!)

  • I will drive to northern Oklahoma to pick up my puppy (he'll be one of the ones in these photos...I'll know exactly which one next week!)

  • I will drive to Manhattan, Kansas to visit my best friend in the entire world.

  • I will get a tan (I've already been in the pool today!).

  • I will run at least three 5k's (first one at 6 a.m. Wednesday morning!).

things I want to do this summer:
  • I want to learn how to golf.
  • I want to become a legit blogger.
  • I want to work on my research paper...kind of.
  • I want to go to to the beach.
  • I want to go to UNC - Chapel Hill to visit another bff.
  • I want to create a font!

so there's that. things I will do and things I want to do. now that they're all in nice bullet form, I can actually start to do them...maybe.

off to read my newest Barnes and Noble find: "It's Kind of a Funny Story" by Ned Vizzini.

revolutionary...fail.

I wanted my first post to be revolutionary...something you'd see and say, "ah! she's on to something!" but instead, you get this. a post that won't make you think, use creativity or even scrounge up a wonder of what sort of widsom I'm about to impart...no, it's just this.

maybe because it's past my bedtime...or maybe because I'm just down to nothing in the brain before the revitalization of summer begins! regardless...be on the lookout for awesomeness soon...next time won't be such a fail...

goodnight!
