8 months later...

In true Rainey fashion I'm blogging eight months after SWEARING to blog more. I'm really terrible at this!

It's Friday night and my toes are frozen. I've been working in the cold at a campus Halloween party trying to make college kids behave. Right.

My roommate is sitting at the kitchen table sewing her Halloween costume (like a granny!) and hopefully creating a masterpiece. Mine will be held together with safety pins. I'm hoping for the best.

Not much going on in my world these days...cute dog, awesome roommates, the best friends and family I could possibly ask for, and big decisions looming in the near future.

If any of you want to go ahead and plan out the rest of my life for me, feel free. I'm taking suggestions. As a Career Services professional, I have found that it's much easier to plan someone else's life instead of your own. It's time to start thinking about grad schools again. I've been at Hendrix since my 18th birthday and I've got that itch to move somewhere else. But where?!

Today's grad school options: Indiana, Chicago, Austin, Georgia...?

Who knows.

In other news, I'm going to be Carmen Sandiego for Halloween...and it's going to be epic. and full of excellent decisions, no doubt.

Maybe I'll have something more exciting to tell you when I remember that I have a blog in about eight more months...until then...

seven months later...

So, I have this blog. That I forgot about...but let's give it another try. After reading Sarah and Brian's blog, Westervin, I've decided to give it another go.

So with that out of the way, here it is:

I'm curled up on the couch with a blanket, drinking some hot cocoa and looking at the mountains (or the even 5" layer) of snow outside...what a good day! Work ended early today and I'm praying for an email saying that campus is closed is tomorrow as well. I've got some playing in the snow to do!

Superbowl Sunday brought about an interesting evening. It was an excellent evening with some of my favorite people and although the Colts didn't win, the night was spot-on ("spot-on"...who says that?!)

Fischer is now 9 months old and quite precious. He's completely rotten, but he's so cute that it's kind of okay. This is the look of innocence...bahahah.

While my rarely read (for good reason) blog is somewhat back in action - it's not nearly as neat as Westervin. Check it out...now!

I promise to keep up the blogging and eventually have something worthwhile to blog about...like the many different ways you can kill a fish...?

We'll see.

With that - I'll go check my email once more for that nugget of gold in my inbox and I'll probably sip on some more cocoa and marshmallows before heading to bed. Sounds like a good night to me!
